Process to Request that Uber Order a New Motor Vehicle Record
Step 1. Reach Out to Uber Support: Open your Uber Driver app and contact Support or go to Uber Help.
Step 2. Log In to Your Account: Go to Driving and Delivering Help and click LOG IN to access your account. Note: You must be logged in to see all support options.
Step 3. Re-Upload Your Driver’s License: Follow the instructions to upload your updated license. This tells Uber you’ve made changes and are ready for a new review.
Step 4. Let Uber Do the Rest: Once your license is uploaded, Uber will automatically create a case and start the process to run a new MVR check.
Step 5. Be Patient: MVR checks are usually processed once a week, typically by the end of the day on Fridays. It might take up to 7 days for everything to go through.
Step 6. Watch for Updates: Uber will notify you through the Driver App or by email once your new MVR is ready.
Please Note:
SambaSafety cannot order a new record for you unless you follow the required process in the Uber app. If you instead file a dispute with SambaSafety and request that SambaSafety order your new motor vehicle record, SambaSafety will not be able to order the record and this will cause unnecessary delay. The process within the Uber app. is the only way to request a new record.
You may have the following reasons to request a new motor vehicle record from within the Uber app:
1. The department of motor vehicles (DMV) has updated your record. This may have occurred because:- You paid outstanding fees
- You renewed your expired license
- You completed requirements for license reinstatement
- You requested that the DMV correct your driving record
2. You have moved to another state and need to update your license information with Uber and cause Uber to order a motor vehicle record from your new state
